Ultra Violet Campaign Information

The Ultra Violet Campaign is a new fundraising and awareness event concept designed to replace Sigma Kappa Foundation's Lollipop Campaign. The new campaign concept was developed to provide collegiate and alumnae chapters with effective and engaging opportunities to raise funds and awareness for Sigma Kappa's philanthropic priorities.

Although the Foundation's former Lollipop Campaign was designed to raise money only for the Foundation's Alzheimer's/Gerontology Fund, Ultra Violet events are designed to raise unrestricted dollars to support any of the Foundation's many causes:

• Alzheimer's/Gerontology
• Leadership & Educational Grants
• Scholarships
• Sister-to-Sister Disaster Recovery Fund
• Educational Area Grants
• Maine Sea Coast Mission
• Alumnae Heart Fund

The Ultra Violet Campaign is designed to create immediate recognition for Sigma Kappa events intended to raise funds for the Sigma Kappa Foundation to fund educational and leadership programs for Sigma Kappa women and the current Alzheimer's disease research grant through the Alzheimer's Association.

Chapters may choose from a variety of "Ultra Violet" fundraising and awareness events or develop their own. All events must carry the "Ultra Violet" name and should state that all proceeds will benefit Sigma Kappa Foundation.

Chapters may structure or advertise their event to raise awareness for the Foundation's mission or any of its philanthropic interests listed above. All promotional materials, decorations, apparel, etc. should have a similar look and feel aligned with the Ultra Violet Campaign brand - including the use of violets and the color purple - and incorporate Sigma Kappa and Alzheimer’s Association logos/language and the use of customizable marketing materials available on this website.

Note: Chapters should not advertise that funds raised from their event will directly benefit the Alzheimer's Association, as Sigma Kappa Foundation only supports the mission of the Alzheimer's Association, and instead distributes funds raised through Alzheimer's disease educational events to benefit grants supporting Alzheimer's disease research.

Chapters may use the style sheet found on this website and any reputable vendor to produce all desired promotional materials for Ultra Violet events, as long as the materials are appropriate for the event and are in compliance with the guidelines listed above. Sigma Kappa Foundation is not responsible for ordering, purchasing or distributing any promotional materials for any collegiate or alumnae chapter Ultra Violet event.
