Best Ultra Violet Campaign Award
Recognizes one collegiate chapter and up to four honorable mentions (one from each district) for excellence in participation in the Sigma Kappa Foundation Ultra Violet Campaign. The award considers the amount raised; creativity of campaign; fundraising techniques; incorporation of the Ultra Violet name, logo, color; and public relations.

Edna Brown Dreyfus Award
Recognizes one collegiate chapter and one honorable mention for contributing to the Sigma Kappa Foundation’s Alzheimer’s/Gerontology and Maine Sea Coast Mission funds. The award considers the amount of money the chapter contributes per member and new member during the calendar year to the following Foundation funds: Alzheimer’s/Gerontology and Maine Sea Coast Mission.

Excellence in Alzheimer’s Association Support:
Walk to End Alzheimer’s Award (New for 2011!)
Recognizes one alumnae or collegiate chapter for excellence in participation in the local Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s event. The award considers the chapter’s total team donations to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s event for year fundraising session.

Excellence in Service:
Lillian Peterson Budd Award
Recognizes one chapter and up to four honorable mentions (one from each district) for participation in both national and local gerontology activities during the calendar year. The award considers only those national and local gerontology projects dealing with service to the elderly and takes into consideration receipt of reports.

Gerontology Service Award (Convention Years Only)
Recognizes one alumnae chapter or club and up to four honorable mentions (one from each district) that develop an outstanding community philanthropy project that reflects Sigma Kappa’s interest in Alzheimer’s disease and gerontology. The award considers volunteer hours and/or funds provided involving a significant number of the membership and generating positive public relations within the community as evidenced by submission of published articles or pictures. Contributions to the Foundation’s Alzheimer’s /Gerontology Fund will also be considered.
Application: Annual Report of the Alumnae Chapter
Award: Certificate and $500 check to be presented by the alumnae chapter or club to a 501(c)(3) facility or organization providing care, service or funding to Alzheimer’s or Gerontology clients; Honorable Mentions: Certificate and $50 check to be presented by the alumnae chapter or club to a 501(c)(3) facility or organization providing care, service or funding to Alzheimer’s disease or gerontology clients.
